The Devil Wears Prada 2

The Devil Wears Prada remains beloved among many film enthusiasts; a tight script and subtly excellent filmmaking tied together with performances that do the material justice. This sequel simply isn’t as good, but it’s also far above most modern legacy sequels, daring to shift its lens towards the struggling journalism industry while also tasking its characters to ponder how much personal fulfillment is worth if that means becoming something you (think you) hate. It’s a pretty good sequel to an excellent film, which, considering a trailer for Toy Story 5 ran before my screening, isn’t something to take for granted.
