Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior

I'm not sure why "Ong-Bak"'s excuse plot bothers me as much as it does. It might be that the story of a guy going after a good luck charm needs a lighter approach than the deathly serious tones here, or that the conclusion is so rushed that the film doesn't make time to show that Ting's journey was worth the trouble. Either way, this is an excuse to watch Tony Jaa curbstomp arrogant fuckboys for ninety minutes, with the lack of meaningful drama in these encounters being made up for with the athleticism. Overrated, but an enjoyable violence party.
