Big Mistakes (Get Your Nonna a Necklace)

There’s a lot of fine work being done here, both in front of and behind the camera, enough to imagine this season could build to a fever pitch. The lone sour note, of course, is Levy, over five years removed from winning a comedy Emmy and still not having learned how to land a joke. He’s also bad at this whole “drama” thing, and that the actor playing our primary POV character is bad at comedy and drama, in a dramedy, is endlessly frustrating. It’s otherwise an encouraging half-hour; maybe they should’ve given this role to some other nepo baby.
