The Teachers’ Lounge

This is the sort of film that haunts the audience, where decoding or otherwise deciphering meaning isn’t going to come from pensive reflection but intrusive thoughts that strike at any moment; going further into how and why this is the case risks spoiling the matter but suffice to say you’d best look elsewhere for popcorn entertainment. What’s without question is the craft of the filmmaking, from the tense soundtrack to the excellent use of screen ratio in conveying feel to the great performances all around, including all the young artists(!). The type of film to make you question humanity (non-derogatory).
