Alien 3 (1992 film)

A couple of effective scenes cash in on goodwill generated by Aliens, and the rest is a below-average thriller, an embarrassing drop in quality compared to the two most influential sci-fi horror films released before 1990 but also a far cry from being the worst film of all time. There’s always something to bring it down just when it feels like the film has found its stride, including getting rid of the only interesting character introduced in this film before the halfway mark, though that it had a stride to lose means it was doing something right. Didn’t hate it.
