Weapons (2025 film)

They’re all on their own paths they can’t deviate from. She can’t get out of her own head—the nightmares won’t let her. He can’t let go of his son—he’s out there, somewhere. What’s worse is knowing there is an answer but being told to stop asking questions, life sucks sometimes, it’s healthier if you move on. It’s not sustained misery (you’re not getting one of the WKUK guys to do something without jokes), but Weapons is at its best when it explores this righteous indignation. It’s not my favorite film made about grieving, but it’s better than most.
