Warfare (2025 film)

Warfare is unrepentantly angry at the machine that makes it happen. It’s easy to be on its side—the soldiers are young horndogs underequipped for a mission of undefined worth, whose rigid training only serves to prevent them from clearly communicating to each other, to say nothing of the family they hold hostage. The only English word one of the captives seems to know is “Why”, which she yells near the end of the film to sum up the efforts of the Americans. A horror film disguised as a war film and will likely be the bane of military enthusiasts.
