Twin Peaks (Coma)

It took consulting a written recap of this episode to convince me that, yes, things (important things) happened in this episode. This felt like an assortment of things happening rather than a story unfolding, a first for the series, and while some of these individual moments were exemplary (including one outright stunning sequence at the end), others were cringe—yes, I’m in the camp that the song sucked, fight me IRL. I’d hoped that Lynch had been overly theatrical in dismissing this season, but if this is the level of quality I should expect, this is going to be rough.
