The Rookie (Fun and Games)

Everything that didn’t have to do with the Dropout crew playing versions of themselves too stupid to exist was unbearable and artless. A good half of the cast of The Rookie can’t act, and that the closest thing to an insulated narrative arc wrested on the performances of the worst of the lot would come across as imbecilic if I could prove showing prisoners this show doesn’t count as some form of enhanced interrogation. You can crank the music, borrow the dash cam from End of Watch, and make Fillon look high-LARIOUSLY perturbed 24/7, but you can’t polish a turd.
