Happy Gilmore 2
“Happy Gilmore 2” turns in some Kafkaesque imagery in its latter half-hour, bright colors and impossible golf courses and slight body horror. It’s honestly an improvement over the eighty minutes leading up to it, which, save a sprinkling of pathos and spirited performances from the young’uns (how does MJF not get a leading role in a comedy after this?), mostly consists of rehashing the first film, complete with clips to bring the audience up to speed on the film they’re cribbing notes from. I’d seriously recommend fast-forwarding to the part where Becky Lynch shows up; it’s damn rough until then.
