Diamond Dallas Page vs. Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, from WCW Halloween Havoc 1998

Probably the best WCW main event of 1998, which is more of an indictment of WCW main events at the time than endorsement of this match. Still, this was the first time in Goldberg’s reign that it could make sense for him to take a loss, and the people were eating up the possibility of a title switch out of the palm of their hands. It isn’t long enough to stretch Goldberg’s ability to act or tell a story beyond the basic, but what’s here is effective and entertaining. This should not have been half as good at it is.
