7 Prisoners
7 Prisoners is smart enough to know letting the audience believe it is stupid will make its late twists hit harder. I don’t want to spoil when it dawned on me that there was more going on than it let on, but then again, even if I didn’t care about spoiling it, I don’t know if I could tell you. It spoils nothing to say its signature trick is leading you, step by logical step, down a path from which neither you nor the cast from escape from, until you emerge out the other side, shaken by what has transpired.
