Twin Peaks (Pilot)

Has there ever been a dramatic television series with a better pilot? (The tally is tougher when including comedies considering "Fawlty Towers" would be in the mix.) I've looked for what's been celebrated, and while I respect picks like "The Walking Dead" and "Breaking Bad", they're merely good. "Twin Peaks" not only completely understands the tone of its show right out the gate, it also understands how to pace itself so it feels like something is always happening without feeling overstuffed; this is a ninety-minute episode that is easier to digest than most modern forty-five-minute shows. Perfection, in my eyes.
