Twin Peaks (May the Giant Be with You)

That this episode loses focus over the course of its ninety minutes feels a complaint born of the format rather than fault of the creators, which won’t stop me from noting that it became difficult for me to determine which off-screen character’s health update applied to who (“is she the character caught in the mill, or is she the one who swallowed the pills?”). Damn strong otherwise, with a surreal opening sequence, plenty of great humor right when things get too heavy, and concluding with the most batfuck insane, nightmarish imagery depicted in the series so far. A promising start.
