The Office (US version) (Season One)

It's anyone's guess why 2005 NBC, when they were notorious for killing shows that dared to be only moderately successful, chose to greenlight a second season of "The Office". I imagine a conversation with the showrunners about what needed to change going forward and maybe a few promising spec scripts bought the show another year because it sure as hell wasn't thanks to these mean-spirited, boring episodes. The only likable and interesting character here is Pam; everyone else is some degree of unfunny jerk. My beloved "Parks and Recreation" had a bad debut season, too, but it wasn't THIS bad.
