Tall Girl
“Pretty In Pink” has no shortage of issues, but it is such a charming film that it is easy to take its side, and that’s far more than can be said about this sorta-take on a similar concept. Sabrina Carpenter playing the “big” sister is the only consistently entertaining part of “Tall Girl”, which asks us to pity the title character, who is tall, which is apparently the worst thing that can happen to a young woman. Even if you get on board with the conceit, the third act’s colossal character derailment feels like another writer suddenly stepped in. Horrible.
