Psycho Dream

“Psycho Dream” isn’t weird enough. With such pedestrian gameplay that’s basically “Run Saber” but worse, “Dream” needed to throw a lot more oddball elements to stand out as something worth playing, and all it can do is throw out the occasional stage with obtuse completion requirements and bad boss fights. My patience ran out at Track 3, in which I had to make an elevator move by destroying mounds of insects, which was difficult to determine due to slowdown and constant screen flicker, and the boss moth spent most of the fight offscreen. These aren’t strange elements, they’re just bad.
