Nirvanna: The Band - The Show - The Movie

It isn’t just that The Movie is the funniest thing I’ve seen since Hundreds of Beavers, or that this is, at least in part, a feature-length shitpost made possible by the director’s last feature cleaning up at Canada’s Oscars. Rather, The Band is impressive for how many connections and payoffs to what should be non-sequitors are interwoven—Chrono Trigger, for instance, is referenced, but without getting into spoilers, it feels like someone lives through a reversed version of what happens to someone in that game. Extra point added for its most audacious stunt, which really should’ve landed someone in jail.
