KPop Demon Hunters

There are parts of this that lean hard into the marketing, where it looks as disposable as one of those Bratz joints and the commercial concerns of the filmmakers outweigh their artistic leanings, notable a few songs that don’t occur naturally in the narrative, even in the “characters sing when words won’t suffice” kind of way. For the most part, though, the humor is fine, the action is energetic and well-shot, the songs are all bops, and I found the story to be more engaging than something with that title has any right to be. Not outstanding, but plenty entertaining.
