Invincible (You Look Kinda Dead)

This is one of those “reset after an eventful episode so everything is in place for the end of the season” episodes, an inexplicable carryover of broadcast television habits that has no place in a format where every episode should be dropping all at once. In the context of a network show having to pump out twenty-five episodes a year, these sort of filler episodes are understandable, even forgivable, but in a streaming-centric television landscape (and after “The Leftovers” followed its big drama bomb with the best episode of its first season), this boring little outing can’t hope to shine.
