Fawlty Towers (The Hotel Inspectors)

Reading the script illuminates there is a hysterical line either cut or rendered inaudible at the comic climax of this episode. The omission is the lone mark against this episode, with a guest performance by Cribbins that just about steals the show, the worst luncheon since middle school, and one of my favorite endings to any episode of Fawlty Towers. It’s amazing that The Hotel Inspectors just flies by; the byline makes it seem like hardly anything happens, but there never feels like there’s a wasted moment here. That I still prefer two other episodes speaks volumes towards this show.
