This would’ve been fine to witness as a house show main event, where seeing two wrestlers do nothing for twenty minutes is assuaged by the novelty of these titans in person (and you can also tell your grandkids you saw these two wrestle for twenty minutes; don’t worry, they won’t ask if the match was good). There wasn’t much of an internal narrative, and all the moves seemed motivated by “guess we’re doing this now” above all else. These two are supposed to be too interesting to work a match this boring. Bet the WWE stans think this was legendary.
