Bring Her Back

The biggest mark against this film, for me, revolves around the clean and efficient conveyance of the climax. I’m all for economic structure, but it felt like it skipped a necessary beat. This is otherwise a strong contender for “Best Horror Film of 2025 Revolving Around Children in Peril”, not as pensive as Weapons but arguably more wrenching and inarguably better paced. Appeals to authority mean perhaps less than they ever have, but I’d be fine with Hawkins being a dark horse Best Actress nominee, her Laura as frightening as she is understandable. A substantial improvement over Talk to Me.
